Days in the studio

February 5, 2010

We are currently working on alot of new material in our studio in Oslo, and cant wait to bring them all out to you in 2010. Some of the new songs will be performed at our show at Henie Onstad on Sunday. New songs have titles like “Ghosts”, “Why Wont You Tell Me”, “Gone Today” and “Faith”, and we are very happy with the direction things are taking. We are also working on a our third mixtape, which will include our edtits of other peoples songs, some of our remixes as well as great songs by the likes of Dinosaur L, Jaga Jazzist and Jon Christensen, to name a few. Along the way we took some pictures, and you can check out some of them here:

We are happy to announce that our record “Isle Of Now” has been nominated in the category “best pop-album” in the annual Norwegian Grammy Awards – Spellemannsprisen.
Should be a good party.

From February 18-20th, the festival by:larm will be taking place in Oslo, and Montée is playing. We’ll be performing a couple of shows, one of which will happen at the famous club Last Train in (the otherwise shitty street) Karl Johans gate. It’s going down on friday February 19th at 2300 hrs, and we hope to see you all there.
3-4 new songs will be performed. You get in with a by:larm-pass or by buying a ticket in the door.

RIP Teddy Pendergrass

January 14, 2010

We are very sad to hear Teddy Pendergrass left this earth yesterday, only 59 years old. He had many ups and downs during his career, from Grammy Awards to the awful spinal cord injury he suffered in 1982, which paralyzed him from the waist down. But as you can see in this interview, he didn’t let that break him down:

Great news – Our debutalbum “Isle Of Now”, which was released in March this year, has been nominated by the Norwegian magazine Natt & Dag as the Oslo-record of the year!

We are very happy about the nomination, but still need your help, as it also relies on people voting for us online.

Please vote for us HERE.

They write the following (Norwegian only):

The awardshow takes place on February 11th, and coincides perfectly with Maya and Erlends birthdays. Party on!

Merry X-mas from Montée!

December 14, 2009

We wish you all a dog-on merry christmas with this fantastic tune:

Best regards,

Montée
